Ruth Stapleton

Ruth began performing from a young age, enrolling in dance classes and youth drama groups when she was just 4 years old. Throughout school and college, she studied Performing Arts and appeared in many productions including pantomimes, plays and musicals, and also running after-school dance classes. In 2009, she attended the University Of Cumbria to complete a degree in Drama and Musical Theatre Performance. During this time she gained invaluable training and coaching throughout all aspects of performing. After having to get a ‘proper job’ once graduating, Ruth dabbled in working in a music school as a singing teacher, acting in music videos/short films and currently, presenting on hospital radio. In 2014, after finally being able to leave her ‘proper job’, she began working as the Musical Director/Production Assistant for a travelling theatre company, providing musicals and pantomimes for various community venues across the country. Alongside this, Ruth also works professionally as an actor/singer on stage and screen.

Ruth is thrilled to be joining the amazing team at the North East Singing Waiters and cannot wait to surprise some more guests and give you the best wedding experience you’ve ever had!
